Meet our team
Many years ago, a young man named Paul had a dream of owning his own car dealership and in 2008 A1 Ortos was born. After his experience in several main dealerships he learned a lot of key skills which have been refined to do things differently, the right way, the A1 Ortos way! We believe everybody should get the opportunity to buy the right vehicle, at the right price, without the old pushy sales tactics, as buying a car from us is a very special moment in your life and should be treated accordingly.
All of our staff come from a customer service background which is displayed in the real family atmosphere created. Regardless of the amount of money being spent we strive for the same professional yet friendly and comfortable buying experience for every single customer. Making sure our cars leave at the highest possible level is important to everybody at the A1 Ortos family and we make sure no corners are cut in any way, as Paul has always said 'if a job is worth doing, its worth doing properly!' After all, buying a used car with a new car feeling is a very good feeling!

Our illustrious leader who built the business from scratch. Ever the perfectionist in all walks of life and takes great care that this quality is translated to the business. If he's not working to make sure we're not beaten on the price of our cars, you'll find him on the Padel court making sure he's not beaten there!

Sophie Accounts
The long-suffering wife of Paul and our fantastic accounts manager. Behind every good man is a great woman and that goes for at home and work here, always diligently working behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly. Always on hand with a welcoming smile and doubles up as the in-house fashion and make up specialist, a sometimes-underappreciated skill working in a team full of men!

Marc General Manager
The A1 Ortos veteran having been with the company since 2008 its fair to say Marc lives & breathes A1 Ortos. With a background in banking if Marc can't make the finance deal work for you it can't be done! A huge football fan so when you've had all the tips on the cars, he will always give you a tip for your weekend accumulator too!

Dilan Sales Manager
With many years of loyalty to the company, Dilan started back in 2018! Dilan is the real Deal Maker. If there is a deal to be found Dilan is your man! Cars run in the blood for Dilan with his grandfather also having a car showroom out in Zimbabwe. You won't find a better cup of coffee when you're buying a car than the one you get off this man after his years as a barista. Working for many years out in Australia for some reason he has traded the gold coast for Oldham, but Australia's loss is A1 Ortos' gain!

Paul General Manager
The Man, the Myth, the Legend! Paul started in the motor trade in 2015 at A1Ortos, where he learnt the skills he still carries to this day. Paul has spent the last 10 Years in the motor trade growing into the General Managers role. His background in Event management shows, he is very meticulous and extremely well organised in all aspects. He is a family man and enjoys his weekend's spending time with his wife and son!

Tony Sales Executive
Over 10 years' experience with the company, and over 30 Years experience in sales, you won't find a more methodical person than Tony. If there's anything you would like to know about fishing, Tony is your man! Whether it be about Tropical fish or the time he caught a Marlin! Tony also has a bit of a sweet tooth, and almost never turns down a bit of chocolate. Please never mention the football scores to Tony, as match of the day is his Saturday night treat!

Jay Sales Executive
The family man, always working hard to make sure when he is not working, he can take the kids to watch his beloved Burnley FC! Having over 20 years' experience in the motor trade Jay knows the job inside out and uses his expertise to tailor any deal to suit the customer. If Jay isn't patiently working through enquiries, you'll be likely to find him patiently sat waiting for the fish to nibble by the sea in Blackpool brushing up on his fishing skills.

Brett Sales Executive
Brett's highly skilled background in the motor trade includes working in many different departments within the industry. From starting as a mechanic in the workshop, to running Land Rover Dealerships! Brett has been in the motor trade since the day he could go to work (A very long time)! He has been with the company since 2023, and we are extremely fortunate to have him. Brett is a born and raised, proud Yorkshire man! His work ethic is something to admire.

Joe Sales Executive
Joe brings a smile to everyone every time he walks in the room! Joe has been with A1Ortos since 2023, he works extremely hard on creating the best possible deal for his customers. Joe also works extremely hard to get himself on holiday, you will always have a great conversation with Joe regarding his travels, recommendations and his beloved Manchester United! We are extremely lucky to have Joe on the team, as he keeps everyone on their feet! Great sense of humor and great team player

Kenny Sales Executive
Kenny! The absolute perfect addition to the A1Ortos Team. Kenny has spent the last 15 years in the motor trade, perfecting the art of being able to make customers smile! He spends any opportunity to spend time with his family, whether it be his wife and kids or his Biker Family! Kenny does a lot of charity work for his community; he is a real Shaw Gawbie through and through! One of the best smiles you will ever come across, truly a great member to the A1 Family!

Darren has spent many years in the motor trade, our very own Jaguar Land Rover Specialist. Darren is an extremely enthusiastic motorhead! He loves spending time with his two daughters. Going to the cinema has always been one Darrens favourite things to do, there aren't many films this man has not seen!

Magic hands! With his knowledge and experience, Andy prides himself in his work. With over 20 years of experience behind the tools. He is an absolute asset to A1Ortos. Andy is also a very keen Pool player, having played in the local leagues for many years. In his spare time he also enjoys time with his family!

A very loyal member of our workshop. Once cycled from Manchester to London, a great level of interest in cycling. Well experienced technician and a fantastic plumber! Carl enjoys watching his son play football in his spare time.

The rock and roller of the A1 Ortos workshop. Where Ash goes, Kerrang radio goes with him! With a love for Japanese motors, he can talk all day about the Civic Type R. A valued member of our team, delivering great levels of work both to us and his family back home!
